Customer Reviews

Work great IF they don t separate from adhesive backing and fall off. I bought these to replace thicker non-slip silicone grips on my clear acrylic quilting rulers. They worked well for a few fabric cuts, then I was finding the silicone discs were separating from the adhesive backing and falling off. The adhesive part is still on the ruler, but the silicone grips have almost all fallen off. I see multiple reviewers over the past few years have had the same issue, so I m not convinced it s a bad batch. Maybe it has something to do with extremes temperature cycles during storage. I m ordering another set from a different seller to see if I have better luck. I m not willing to damage my rulers by using crazy glue or something similar to adhere the discs. I d give them 5 stars IF the discs would stay attached to their adhesive (or the adhesive was on the disc instead of another sheet), they work great when they stay in place. 2Want to let you know what you're doing wrong if these come loose easily I noticed a few people say these don't stick well. I almost had the experience I bet they're having. These are clear, adhesive circles and little dots on tan/brown paper. You remove the dots from the paper and stick them on the back of your ruler or template. The problem is that the brown paper will separate into two pieces and you can think you have removed the circles since they came loose from part of the brown paper, but one layer of brown paper is still there. You have to remove all the brown paper, so that you just have clear disks. If you do that, they stick very, very well. I hope this will help someone. These are my favorite non-slip things for rulers and templates. I have been quilting about 30 years and these are the best yet. 5I have many rulers and was happy with the little sandpaper stick on dots but thought ... I have many rulers and was happy with the little sandpaper stick on dots but thought these would work better because you can see through them. I was pleased at first but after about a month, I noticed one had come off. A few days later I found another one had come off the ruler and a third was loose. On close exam, the adhesive bit was still on my ruler and it was the rubber that had separated away from the adhesive. I took the remaining ones off and went back to my tried and true sandpaper dots. It's possible this was just a bad run of product given the other glowing reviews, but I had followed the instructions and these just didn't hold up to expectations. If the adhesive works, then these are good but I'm not taking that risk again. 2needed for quilting rulers I have these ruler grips on all my rulers and a couple of other items around the house. They stick really well as long as they are clean of thread or batting fuzz. I don't think I have ever replaced them even on my oldest rulers. I could not quilt without them. 5Worked great while that lasted which was not long Worked great while that lasted which was not long. The rubber separates super easy from the adhesive back. Didn't even get through cutting one project before they had all came off. The description is also very misleading. It says 15 large and 15 small. I assume the inside dot from the ring counts as the small ones which is not at all what I was expecting. I would not waste my time or money on these again. 1Worthless Zero stars. Absolutely did not prevent slipping. 1They work great I purchased these for my quilting rulers. They hold them in place nicely and help to keep them from slipping while I cut. I did clean the back of the ruler with alcohol before I put them on to help them stick longer. So far none have fallen off.I took note of other reviews stating that the pieces are inside one another, I did separate them but ended up using a lot just to be sure. You may be better off leaving them attached as one solid circle. 5Great quilting aid... I recently started quilting again after many years. I just discovered these great little non-slip grips and don't know how I lived without them. I was in the middle of cutting circles for a cathedral window quilt. Needless to say the second half of the cutting process was much easier than the first half. These grips took the slip and the worry out of my cutting. I rated this 4 stars instead of 5 only because I noticed that my fabric seemed to bunch a bit due to the space between the template and the fabric in the areas between grips. I'm sure the solution is to put a few more grips around the template. 4Think outside the square for prouct use, and, thank you to The Grace Company Can you become addicted to true grips? I most definitely have a problem. Yes they are on all my rulers they really grab the fabric ready to cut when pressure is applied. But I have found so many uses. On my chopping block so it can't slip when I cut. On the bottom of items that I want to make sure thy don't move and I could go on. So yes buy and you will be happy. But think of the places you need to make sure something stays put.I regretfully forgot to post my review but I received my item in good time, packaged appropriately and very happy. 5Made a wonderful difference I stuck these on my rulers just before starting my latest quilt, and wow! what a difference they make! I've cut almost 1000 pieces so far (almost done), and it is much easier to cut without having to press down so much on my ruler. No slipping whatsoever. I used the large rings on my large ruler, and the smaller bits from inside the rings (the donut holes) on my 60-degree triangular ruler. I'm so thrifty/cheap that I'm going to cut up the outer leftovers for some other rulers - it doesn't matter what shape they are. I highly recommend this product. 5
